Op 29 mei hielden de nazaten van
Floor Spruit
en Lien Vergeer hun tweede familiereünie. Hiervan is een
fotoserie gemaakt. Mocht je foto's af willen drukken: bij de
webmaster zijn de foto's op het oorspronkelijke formaat verkrijgbaar, en dat is
zo'n 20x zo groot als de foto's op deze website.

6 juni 2005 Gregory Boere geboren in Canada Mia Boere-Aarts
Liet ons weten sinds 31 mei 2005 de trotse moeder te zijn van Gregory Ryan Boere. Steve en zij
zijn nu ouders van een gezin met twee meiden en een zoon.

now the proud parents of a family with two girls and one boy.
5 juni 2005) Familie reünie erg geslaagd
De reünie van 29 mei jongstleden was erg geslaagd, zo was de algemene consensus onder de
deelnemers. Uiteindelijk zijn er 93 deelnemers geweest, die de gehele middag bij konden praten
met neven en nichten, ooms en tantes en hun kinderen en kleinkinderen. Over 5 jaar zeker weer!
Ook leverde de reunie een schat aan bijgewerkte gegevens op, te veel om op te noemen. Veel deelnemers
namen de gelegenheid te baat om hun eigen gegevens te controleren, en waar mogelijk aan te vullen.
De foto's van het evenement worden gepubliceerd zodra de webmaster hier even tijd voor heeft. Hopelijk
is dit al binnenkort.
Family reunion big succes
The family reunion of May 29, 2005, turned out to be a huge succes, so was the common opinion among
the participants. At the end of the day, the counter stopped at 93 participants, two more as expected,
who used the whole afternoon to speak to cousins, aunts and uncles and their children and grandchildren.
Next one in 5 years!
The reunions also led to nummerous updates on this family tree. A large number of participants took
the opportunity to check and update their personal information.
The pictures of this day will be published as soon as the webmaster finds the time for it. Hopefully, this
will be soon.
25 mei 2005 (Update) 91 familieleden op de reünie
Tijdens de reunie van 29 mei aanstaande van alle nazaten van
Floor Spruit
(Florus Martinus) en Lien Spruit-Vergeer (Ermalindes Johanna) zullen 91 familieleden aanwezig zijn.
Automatisch betekend dit, dat er 57 personen afwezig zullen zijn: 42 omdat ze in Canada wonen en
15 personen die in Nederland wonen maar andere bezigheden hebben.

91 family members expected at family reunion
During the family reunion of all decendants of
Floor Spruit
(Florus Martinus) and Lien Spruit-Vergeer (Ermalindes Johanna), 91 family members are expected.
Automatically, this means that 57 persons will not attend: 42 becouse they are living in Canada and
15 persons who live in the Netherlands but who have other obligations.

25 mei 2005 Cary Boere nu ook toegevoegd aan de familiestamboom
Als laatste van de 'Canadese familie' hebben Gary en Alicea Boere ook de stamboom gecontroleerd. Hierbij
bleek dat hun dochter Cary nog niet opgenomen was in de stamboom. Cary is alsnog toegevoegd. Cary Marie is geboren op
27 maart 2003 in Hearst, Ontario, Canada.
Cary Boere also added to the family tree
As the last of the 'Canadian family member' Gary and Alicea Boere checked the family tree. While doing this,
they discovered their daughter Cary was not yet included in the family tree. Cary is now also added. Cary Marie was
born on March 27, 2003 in Hearst, Ontario, Canada.
23 mei 2005 Laatste controles in de aanloop naar de reunie
In de aanloop naar de familiereunie van 29 mei wordt er hard gewerkt om alles op tijd af
te krijgen. Bij de controle van de stamboom ontdekte Frank Boere dat zijn dochter nog
niet in de stamboom was opgenomen. Toch is
Cherly Josie Boere
al in 2001 geboren. Ook Cherly is nu in de stamboom opgenomen.
Last checkups before the family reunion
Towards the family reunion of may 29, everybody is working hard to finish everything in time.
While checking the family tree, Frank Boere discovered that his daughter was not yet included
in the family tree. However,
Cherly Josie Boere
is already four since she was born in 2001. Cherly is now also included in the family tree.
18 mei 2005 Steve en Maria Boere-Aarts verwachten hun derde baby
Niet alleen hebben Steve Boere en Maria Boere-Aarts hun dochter Nikki aan kunden melden voor de stamboom,
en passant wist Maria ook te melden dat ze in de eerste week van juni 2005 hun derde kind verwachten. Na Ashley en Nikki
wordt dit het derde kind van
Steve Boere
(Stephen James) en Maria Aarts (Maria).
Steve and Maria Boere-Aarts expect their thirth baby
Not only could Steve Boere and Maria Boere-Aarts add their daughter Nikki to this family tree, Maria also announced
that they are expecting their thirth child in the first week of june 2005.
After Ashley and Nikke, this will be the thirth child for
Steve Boere
(Stephen James) and Maria Aarts (Maria).
17 mei 2005 Nikki Boere toegevoegd aan de stamboom
Tijdens het verifieren van de stamboom voor de familie reunie van 29 mei aanstaande
ontdekte Maria Aarts dat een van hun dochters nog ontbrak in de stamboom. Inmiddels is
Nikki Boere
(Nikki Chrystal) toegevoegd aan de stamboom. Nikki is al in 2003 geboren en is een dochter van

(Stephen James) en Maria Aarts en dus een achterkleindochter van

(Florus Martinus) en Lien Spruit-Vergeer (Ermalindes Johanna)

When verifying the family tree for the upcoming family reunion of may 28, Maria Aarts discovered
one of their daughters missing. By now,
Nikki Boere
(Nikki Chrystal) Has been added to the family tree. Nikki was born in 2003 geboren and is a daughter of
Steve Boere
(Stephen James) and Maria Aarts and so is a great-granddaugher of
Floor Spruit
(Florus Martinus) and Lien Spruit-Vergeer (Ermalindes Johanna)
16 mei 2005 Mattieu en Tamara kondingen hun huwelijk aan
Op 1 juli aanstaande zullen
Mattieu Spruit
(Martinus Florentius) en Tamara van de Berg (Hendrika Alida Jacoba) in het huwelijk treden, aldus
de bekendmaking van het stel. Mattieu is de oudste zoon van
Floor Spruit
(Florentius Theodorus) en Lida Spruit-van Breukelen (Alida Gertruda Frederika).

to the announcement of the couple. Mattieu is the oldest son of

3 mei 2005 Zilveren Waarderingsteken voor familielid
Op 19 maart 2005 heeft familielid
Richard Spruit
het Zilveren Waarderingsteken van de Vereniging Scouting Nederland ontvangen. De hoge Scoutingonderscheiding
is hem verleend voor 18 jaar vrijwilligerschap in verschillende functies, waaronder de laatste 8 jaar als
voorzitter van de Scouting Tono-groep in Schiedam.
Silver Medal for family member
On march 19, 2005 our family member
Richard Spruit
recieved the Silver Medal of the Dutch Scouting and Guiding organisation. This high Scouting/Guiding medal was
rewarded for 18 years of voluntary work in different function, under which the last 8 years as chairman
of the Scouting/Guiding group Scouting Tono-groep in Schiedam.
The ceremony can be found on the website of the Tono Scouting/Guiding group under
Silver Medal for leaving chairman.
A local newspaper, the Maasstad Weekbladen Schiedam, placed an
artikel in their newspaper.
21 april 2005 Familiereünie in mei
Wij ontvingen een brief met de volgende tekst:
Hallo familie,
Het is alweer een hele tijd geleden dat wij de hele familie Spruit bij elkaar hebben gezien. Wij hebben
de koppen weer bij elkaar gestoken en een nieuwe reünie voor alle Spruiten van
Groot tot Klein
Wij nodigen jullie uit op zondag 29 mei 2005 om deze reünie bij te wonen bij Floor. Het begint om
12:00 uur (graag op tijd) met koffie en gebak......
Namen zijn verkort weergegeven om enige privacy te bieden. Wij gaan er vanuit dat de uitgenodigde mensen
toch wel weten wie er wordt bedoeld. Zo niet, neem even contact op met de webmaster van deze site
